Capturing the Present, Gently.

I didn’t always know this would become my life’s work.
I just knew I loved making things.

When I was 12, I was making silly little YouTube vlogs with my friends—nothing fancy, just fun. That joy of creating something out of nothing stuck with me for years. But somewhere between growing up and logging onto Tumblr every night, I found myself falling in love with photography.

Back then, I was a young creative seeing the world through this kaleidoscope of mixed media, pop culture, raw emotions, and aesthetics I had never seen before. It was overwhelming in the best way. I started taking photos of nature, of course—leaves, skies, little corners of the world that felt quiet and important. Then my parents got me my first camera—a Canon Rebel T6, which I still use sometimes today—and everything changed.

From there, I started photographing my friends. And slowly, it stopped being a hobby. It became a way to speak without saying anything. A way to express the biggest parts of myself—parts I didn’t know how to share in words. That’s when I knew this was more than just taking pictures. This was home.

There were moments I wanted to give it up. I got scared. I felt small. But I kept being drawn back in, every time—and that was all God. That quiet pull was never random. It was purpose. I believe someone created me with these gifts for a reason, and I’m not going to let them fade out.

That’s what Amare Hodie is.
It’s a reflection of my spiritual side, my creative side, and my heart. It means “to love today,” and I hope that’s what people feel when they’re here—like they’re seen, held, and allowed to just be present. To just be.

When people work with me, I don’t want it to be just about the photos. I want it to be about the why. Why this moment matters. Why we’re choosing to remember it. Why your story deserves to be told in the softest, most honest way.

This blog is where I’ll share more of that journey. The behind-the-scenes, the inspiration, the stillness in the middle of creating. I hope it feels like sitting down with a friend, and maybe, like a little reminder that your story matters too.

Thanks for being here.

With love,
